Position Summary
The role advocates the highest standards of integrity and taking accountability in support of the Bristol Myers Squibb pledge and mission in China. This role will work as business partner to mainly cover the Business Units and Enabling Functions including LCM / MPB&COM / MCM / CA etc. He/she will be responsible for overseeing, maintaining, and implementing comprehensive compliance program for internal stakeholders supported. Ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills and have experience on monitoring risks related to regulations applicable to the pharma industry. Candidates should also have experience providing direction and guidance to cross functional team.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with all levels of key business functions to guide internal stakeholders to understand compliance policy and requirement. Provide compliance risk assessment/counseling, trend analysis and best practice recommendations.
- Carry out adequate compliance training to employees of related internal stakeholders according to C&E training plan and maintain training log.
- Support implementation of compliance monitoring to ensure business practices compliance with policies and requirements and follow up on improvement actions (if applicable).
- Keep good relationship and communication with C&E and Legal team members to integrate compliance knowledge of various laws, regulations, and industry guidance into daily compliance support to internal stakeholders.
- Escalate issues appropriately. Share best practices but also learnings from mistakes to allow further development and leverage the experience amongst the team where appropriate.
- Assist the associate director in support of China Innovative Medicine BU, BMS HK and other compliance projects.
Education and Experience:
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in legal / finance / accounting.
- Compliance experience in highly regulated industries required, in the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry preferred.
- Minimum 3-5 years’ professional qualified experience.
- Prior compliance program management, analytic and/or monitoring experience preferred.
Essential Skills and Abilities:
- Strong values in integrity & professional ethics.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in both Chinese and English.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly in the matrix organization.
- Ability to integrate, influence and co-operate with cross-functional team to support speedy and appropriate solutions to address risks.
- Self-motivated and good teamwork.
